Biblical Forgiveness as per Jesus and Judging Brethren

Forgive: Strong’s Greek Bible Dictionary
863 ἀφίημι [A)FI/HMI] {aphíēmi} \af-ee’-ay-mee\
from 575 and ἵημι [I(/HMI] {híēmi} (to send; an intensive form of εἶμι[EI)=MI] {eîmi}, to go); to send forth, in various applications (as follow):–cry, forgive, forsake, lay aside, leave, let (alone, be, go, have), omit, put (send) away, remit, suffer, yield up.

Just one more thing so neglected by Christians, sadly. Instead, we hoard bad blood and, in so doing, allow cancer to destroy the Body from within.

Note that repentance is a set requirement.

Matthew 18:15-17
“If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.

Now, Christians have a Biblical duty to judge over brethren but are not allowed to judge over non-Christians. Did you know this? Sadly, the exact opposite happens in church. Read what the Word says:

1 Corinthians 5:9-13
I wrote to you in my letter to have no company with sexual sinners; yet not at all meaning with the sexual sinners of this world, or with the covetous and extortionists, or with idolaters; for then you would have to leave the world. But as it is, I wrote to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother who is a
sexual sinner, or (not just LGBTIQ – how about those half-naked ladies in church?)
covetous, or
an idolater, or a
slanderer, or a (gossips, take note!)
drunkard, or an
extortionist.
Don’t even eat with such a person. For what do I have to do with also judging those who are outside? Don’t you judge those who are within? But those who are outside, God judges. “Put away the wicked man from amongst yourselves.”

Hypocrites might respond with "….but I still firmly believe that homosexuality is sin!" Even IF we perhaps agreed on that, why single it out? Gossip is a genocidal weapon of mass destruction, one that ruins lives, yet it seems to be well entertained in church. Please explain.
